ET CONTEST – PRESENTATION OF THE IDEAS COMPETITION
On 29 January at 4.30 p.m., at the Fondazione di Sardegna in Via San Salvatore da Horta 2 in Cagliari, a seminar will be held to present the ET CONTEST ideas competition.
ET CONTEST is part of the activities planned for the ET WORKSHOP | BEYOND UNDERGROUND event, organised in agreement between the University of Cagliari – DICAAR and the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, for the implementation of activities to support the coordination and promotion in Sardinia of the candidacy of the Sos Enattos site in Lula to host the Einstein Telescope research infrastructure, involving researchers, students, experts and professionals in the definition of possible scenarios for the transformation of the territories concerned, their urban structure and landscape.
The contest aims to gather new ideas, proposals and solutions capable of responding to this new challenge, investigating the relationship between science, territory and design, with particular attention to the cultural and social dimensions of the contexts involved. Proposals should focus on defining the surface design of the Einstein Telescope, a large science and technology park that will require a large-scale transformation scenario (masterplan) and provide some explicit indications through drawings and suggestions.
The contest is open to students from all faculties (in particular, those from schools of architecture, engineering, design and equivalent courses), young graduates and individual or group professionals under the age of 41 at the time of submission. In the case of groups, the group leader must meet the age requirements.
The contest offers prizes for the best proposals, funded by the Fondazione di Sardegna:
1st Prize: €8,000.00
2nd Prize: €3,000.00
3rd Prize: €1,000.00
